As a certified trainer and founder of Soul Good Fitness, I offer personal training that blends boxing, Pilates, and yoga for women of all levels. My sessions focus on building strength, agility, and confidence in a supportive, women-only space, helping clients feel powerful both in and out of the gym.

Changes cannot happen overnight. Many people succeed in quick weight loss and diet programs. But the real challenge lies in the maintenance phase. Once we have seen results and reached our goals, it is easy to fall back into old habits. The weight creeps back in. We get discouraged and eventually fall off the wagon.
This is why we believe in taking very tiny movements in lifestyle changes. We introduce and nurture these tiny movements, and allow these movements to ripple into bigger changes. Eventually these changes add up to produce the lasting, massive and positive impact in your life.
Sam has been boxing since 2017. She has been active all her life. She participates in many sports and physical activities. She loves running, hiking, snowboarding, rock climbing, swimming, yoga and many others. However, nothing compares to her passion for boxing. After her first training session with a boxing coach, she was hooked to the sport. In the last few years, she has spent much of her time training in boxing, going from a complete newbie to now sparring in the ring! She loves it so much that she has switched career from being an IT professional of 20 years to a personal trainer and boxing coach. Having seen the profound health benefits boxing has provided for her. Her goal is to spread the joy of boxing to others.
Sam is a graduate from Humber College’s Fitness Fundamentals Certificate program. She is a certified Resistance Training Specialist (RHEP) with the Ontario Fitness Council. She is a Certified Boxing Coach (Level 1) with Boxing Ontario Association.
In my previous life, I worked in the IT industry with a stressful job. I was training, working out and exercising inconsistently. I followed many different kinds of quick fix diets. I went to different gyms. My weight would yo-yo because I was never able to stick to any of the programs. Work and family always took precedent to my own physical and mental health. I struggled with my weight, body image, and confidence. I ended up having depression and panic disorders because I never took care of myself.
Having hit rock bottom, it was then I decided to invest in my health, both mentally and physically. I started training in boxing. I am able to stick to the boxing training because it is both challenging and fun. I get this huge sense of accomplishment after each work out. The training gives me the natural drug (endorphin) to battle my depression. I slowly changed my diet. I have now adopted a balanced and healthy eating habit. In the last few years, I lost over 40 pounds. My depression and anxiety disorders improved. I am happier and is in the best shape of my life.
Having experienced this personally, combined with my passion in health, fitness and boxing, my goal is to help others experience this transformation and to live a happy and healthy life. I am passionate to help others by sharing my experiences. I am also empathetic to those who are facing their own unique challenges in adopting a healthy lifestyle.
Fitness is more than physical strength, and appearance. It is about lifestyle. It's about your body, mind and soul. Yes, you can be soul good!
